We believe we can have it both ways: stylish and timeless clothes that are ethically and sustainably made

Let’s talk about…

We are all very familiar with cotton; there’s a good chance you’re wearing something made of cotton right now. Cotton is one of the oldest textiles used for clothing and is considered the most important non-food crop grown in the world.

Cotton is a natural fiber that is breathable, soft, comfortable, absorbent, great at controlling moisture, insulating, durable, easy to care for, can be sustainable, can be worn in the summer and winter, and depending on the type, can be good for sensitive skin.

However, not all cotton is created equal.

Organic cotton is very different from conventional cotton in its production method, use of chemicals and sustainability.

Now, we know there is much debate around cotton and organic vs. conventional farming in general; however. we believe that an organic production system that promotes and enhances biodiversity, is safer for workers and communities, reduces waste, conserves natural resources, and promotes healthy soil is better for the people and the future of planet.

That is why People N Planet uses GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton.
