FAQs
Shipping & Orders
Where does People N Planet ship?
We currently ship across the United States and Canada, with plans to expand to additional countries soon. If you’re visiting from outside these regions, thank you for your support — we look forward to reaching you in the near future.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Please allow up to 5 business days (excluding holidays) for your order to be carefully prepared and shipped. Once on its way, delivery times will vary based on your location.
How much is shipping?
We offer free shipping on U.S. orders over $100 and Canadian orders over $200 CAD. For orders below these amounts, a flat rate is applied based on the delivery location. Canadian shipping costs include duties.
Why don’t you offer express shipping?
To reduce our environmental impact, we do not offer express or next-day delivery. Instead, we focus on shipping orders as efficiently and responsibly as possible. This approach may take a little longer, but it supports our commitment to more thoughtful practices.
How will I know my order has shipped?
Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details.
How can I see the status of my order?
You can track your order in a couple of ways:
- With an account: Log in to view your order status at any time.
- Without an account: Visit Order Status (linked at the bottom of the page) and enter your order number along with the email address used at checkout.
Size & Fit
How do I know what size I need; is there a size chart I can refer to?
Yes — each product page includes a size guide to help you find your best fit. If it’s not quite right, you can follow the steps in our Returns & Refunds section, and we’ll make it right.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
We hope you love what you ordered. If not, we’re here to help. We accept returns within 15 days of delivery, giving you time to ensure everything is just right.
Do you offer free returns?
Yes — we offer free returns, so you can shop with confidence.
How do I start a return?
To start a return, please email us at orders@peoplenplanet.com with your order number in the subject line. Let us know which item(s) you’d like to return, and we’ll provide a prepaid return label. Once your item is received, we’ll process your refund or exchange.
In keeping with our commitment to reducing waste, we encourage reusing the original packaging—or any packaging you have at home—when sending items back. When possible, we also recommend consolidating returns. Every small step makes a difference.
When can I expect my refund?
Once we receive your return, we’ll review it and begin processing your refund. If there are any issues, we’ll reach out by email. Refunds typically appear within 2–3 weeks, depending on your payment method.
Do you offer exchanges?
We do not currently offer direct exchanges. However, we offer free returns — simply return your item and place a new order for your preferred style or size.
What if I received the wrong item or a damaged item?
If something isn’t quite right or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll take care of it.
Please email us at orders@peoplenplanet.com with your order number in the subject line, along with a brief description of the issue and photos, if available. If we sent the wrong item, we’ll send out the correct one and provide a prepaid return label.
Sustainability & Carbon footprint
What makes People N Planet sustainable and eco-friendly?
Terms like “sustainable,” “eco-friendly,” and “organic” get tossed around a lot in the textile world—with little to no regulation of use or validation. At People N Planet, we’re committed to doing better. While we’re always looking for ways to improve, here’s what we’re already doing to keep our impact as low as possible:
- Using certified organic cotton instead of conventionally grown cotton.
- Strictly limiting our use of fossil fuel–based materials like polyester and spandex.
- Switching to compostable packaging and labels and skipping any packaging that isn’t necessary.
- Limiting our carbon footprint from our supply chain, shipping, and daily operations.
- Eliminating extra tags and labels the stuff that usually gets tossed right away.
Why does People N Planet limit the use of Spandex and/or polyester in clothing?
We take sustainability seriously, and there are a few big reasons we avoid plastic-based fabrics like polyester, Spandex, nylon, and acrylic whenever we can. Sure, these materials—especially Spandex—give fabrics that stretchy feel we all know. But the use of these fossil fuel-based materials come with a heavy environmental cost, both in production and disposal.
Here are some of the reasons why we limit them:
- Fossil fuel–based: They’re made from oil and require harsh chemicals to produce. Using fossil fuels for clothing isn’t sustainable.
- Non-biodegradable: These fabrics don’t compost. Technically, they break down very slowly over decades or centuries—but in the process, they release millions of microplastic particles.
- Microplastic pollution: Every wash releases microplastics into our water systems, where they persist, enter the food chain, and harm marine life.
By limiting these materials, we aim to create clothing that’s kinder to the planet without compromising style and quality.
Is People N Planet carbon neutral?
Carbon neutrality and carbon off-setting are hot topics in the fashion industry and ones that, along with sustainability and eco-freindly, are not regulated in the fashion industry. Therefore, we are very careful about the claims we make in an effort not to greenwash. We carefully avoid any false or exaggerated claims and focus on transparency, verified certifications, and real impact, like using GOTS certified organic cotton, compostable packaging, and partnering with CleanHub and GreenStory.
We consider these guidelines with every decision we make:
- Materials: Use organic, recycled, or renewable fibers; limit plastics like polyester and Spandex.
- Chemicals & dyes: Avoid toxic chemicals and follow safe wastewater practices.
- Energy & emissions: Reduce carbon footprint and use renewable energy where possible.
- Water: Minimize usage and treat wastewater responsibly.
- Packaging & waste: Use compostable/recyclable materials and cut unnecessary packaging.
- Labor & ethics: Ensure fair wages, safe conditions, and ethical practices.
- Transparency: Share verified info to avoid greenwashing.
- Circularity: Promote recycling, upcycling, and take-back programs.
What type of packaging do you use?
At People N Planet, we care about every step of our products’ journey—including how they arrive at your door. That’s why we use TishWish packaging, made from compostable, eco-friendlier materials that protect your order while minimizing environmental impact. Using TishWish helps us reduce waste, avoid fossil-fuel-based materials, and stay aligned with our sustainability mission, ensuring every part of our process—from fibers to shipping—is as responsible as possible.
The TishWish mailer is plant-based, made from corn, and composts naturally—breaking down in about 3 months in a commercial composting facility or 4–6 months at home. On top of that, TishWish runs the Timber ReLeaf Project, planting a tree for every order they receive. So far, they’ve planted over 5,500 trees!

Other questions
Why are your styles and size limted?
We do apologize if we don't have your size. We are a family-owned, self funded venture (at least for as long as we can) and as such, have started with limited styles and sizes. As we grow, we will definitely be adding more styles and sizes. We thank you for your patronage.
Do you have retail stores?
Currently, we do not have any retail stores, and we don’t sell through any third-party platform. All our clothes are sold exclusively through our website.
